Born in Ponta Garça, Azores, a daughter of the late Manuel M. and Maria Da Conceicão (Mello) Pinheiro she came to America in 1971. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Fairhaven.
Mrs. Leite was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a devote Catholic with a true love for God. Her family will remember her for being a great mother and grandmother and in her heart she had a special love for her great granddaughter.
She is survived by her children, Connie C. Machado and her husband Alfred of New Bedford, Angie Leite, Manuel P. Leite, Ana Leite and her fiancé Rui Pires and Antonio Leite all of Fairhaven; seven granddaughters; one grandson; one great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Maria Isabel Leite and she was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters.
