Richard J. Goulet

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Joseph A. W. Goulet Jr. and Alice (Ruszel) Goulet, he had been a lifelong area resident having lived in Fairhaven since 1947.

A graduate of Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School class of 1959, he was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a Machinist at Good Year Tire and Rubber Company for 25 years before retiring. After retirement he worked for the Armach Company.

Mr. Goulet was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and loved to fish. He also loved the company of his dog, Victoria.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons; Ricky Goulet and his wife Pamela of New Bedford, David Goulet of Fairhaven, one brother; Gary Goulet and his wife Patricia of Fairhaven, six grandchildren; Jared, Andrew, Cory, Nicholas, Kalie, and Jacob, one niece and two nephews. He was the father of the late Shawn Goulet.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, Main St., Fairhaven followed by burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. For online tributes: www.waring-sullivan.com
