

Robert Raymond Chase (“Bob”), 63, formerly of Fairhaven, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on March 21, 2026 in Warwick, Rhode Island. Born in Wareham, Massachusetts, beloved son of the late Carroll and Russell Chase.
Robert was a loving father to Robert Chase Jr. and his wife Alyssa Chase, Christopher Chase and his wife Bethany Chase, and grandfather to Cadence, Westin, Lola, Ryder, Delaney, Sunny, and Myelee Chase. He shared 12 loving years with his partner, Eva Furtado.
He is also survived by his siblings: Russell “Chip” Chase of Mattapoisett, widower of the late Lynne Chase; Deborah Briggs and her husband Arnold of West Wareham; and David Chase and his wife Kathleen of West Wareham.
Robert spent much of his life working as a mechanic, a trade he took great pride in. He began his career at Tremblay Bus Company and continued working as a mechanic throughout his life, known for his strong work ethic and skill.
He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping whenever he could. Robert also had a special place in his heart for animals, especially dogs. He generously opened his home as a foster for many dogs over the years, giving them care, comfort, and a second chance.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 2nd from 5:00–7:00 PM, with a funeral service immediately following at 7:00 PM at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn, 180 Washington Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719. For online tribute/directions: www.waring-sullivan.com.

Robert will be remembered for his love for his family, his kindness to animals, and his hardworking spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
