

Sandra L. (Silva) LeBlanc, 81, of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous and lengthy battle with primary progressive aphasia.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Dorothy (Oliveira) Silva. Sandra was the devoted wife of the late William Leo LeBlanc, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. She was a proud graduate of Fairhaven High School, Class of 1962, and remained deeply connected to her classmates throughout her life.
Sandra dedicated her career to secretarial work, a role she took great pride in. She worked for Household Finance for over 20 years and later retired from Southcoast Homecare, where her professionalism, organization, and dedication were greatly valued.
Known for her warmth and generosity, Sandra loved knitting and took joy in teaching others the craft. She cherished shopping trips with friends and was the heart behind organizing social gatherings, and Fairhaven High School class reunions. A devoted sports fan, she enthusiastically followed the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Fairhaven High School football team. Above all, family meant everything to Sandra, and she treasured the time spent with loved ones, both in Fairhaven and Sarasota FL.
Sandra is survived by her loving daughters, Kelly Silva and her husband Brett of Fairhaven, and Jennifer Gerard and her husband Michael of West Wareham; her siblings, Antone Barry Silva and his wife Susan of Fairhaven, Doreen Cormier and her husband Brian of Acushnet, James Silva and his wife Nancy of Dartmouth, Theresa Sinko of Fairhaven, and Jacqueline Markey and her husband Bradford of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Bruce Silva and Richard Silva.
Her visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn Mortuary, 180 Washington Street, Fairhaven, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 440 Main Street, Fairhaven. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
