He was preceded in death by his father Samuel P. Walters.
Michael was a devoted son to Jean M. Walters, father of Michael E. (Marie) and Steven (Jodie), and grandfather of Stephen, Jace, Kaden, Mia, Xavier.
Loving brother to Timothy, Venus (Keith) Schmidt, Diane (Terry) Veverka, Dana (Mark) Klaus, and Cindy (Mike) Jarden; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was devoted to his family and lived life to the fullest each day.
Michael was an U.S. Army Veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division, active in sports as an avid skier, volleyball player and participated in many other activities.

A Celebration of Life will take place with family receiving friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 30th, with the Service following at 6:30 PM, social 7-8 PM in the Walters Funeral Home at Rose Hill 3653 W Market St. Fairlawn, Oh 44333 (330) 665-1700.
