Sarah E Walker, 90, went to join her heavenly father on February 7, 2016. Born in Johnson City, TN., she lived most of her life in Akron, OH. Loving mother of Jenny (Steve) Markel, and grandmother to Kelly and John Markel, Dustin and Chanse Walker. Preceded in death by her husband Lloyd of 63 years, and her son Don.
Sarah was a homemaker all her life. She loved to travel and enjoyed music, as she was a soloist most of her life. Sarah had a strong Christina faith and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Akron. One classy lady who never lost her southern charm.
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday February 12th from 11:00 – 12:00 PM with the service immediately following in the Rockynol Retirement Community Chapel 1275 W. Exchange St., Akron. Private entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
