

Abram Franklin Ellis, 87, of O’Fallon, IL passed away in his home, Tuesday, October 25, 2022 with his wife by his side. Abe was born August 18, 1935 in Dresden, TN, the son of the late Varce and Emma (Davis) Ellis. Abe married Marilyn (Feltman) Ellis June 5, 1954. Marilyn survives him and they were able to celebrate their 68th anniversary together.
Besides his wife, Marilyn, Abe is also survived by his daughter, Cheri Warhoover of O’Fallon; three grandchildren, Brian (Natalie) Huffman of Shiloh, Jennifer (Timothy) Pryor of O’Fallon and Ronald (Alana) Warhoover Jr. of O’Fallon; nine great-grandchildren, Brian (Maggie) Pryor of KS, Brandon Pryor of O’Fallon, Alaina (Tyler) Burlage of WY, Timothy Pryor Jr. of O’Fallon, Jayden Dailey of O’Fallon, Ronald “Trey” Warhoover III of O’Fallon, Aaron Warhoover of O’Fallon, Hunter Huffman of Shiloh and Drake Huffman of Shiloh; two-great great grandchildren, Kolten and Bella Pryor of KS. In addition to his parents, Abe is preceded in death by his son, Michael Ellis; sister and her husband, Mondel and Frank Steward; sister-in-laws, Karen Shewmaker and Betty (W.M.) Dorsey and niece, nephews, aunts and uncles.
After retiring from United Bumper, Abe and Marilyn enjoyed 15 years being snowbirds with their many friends in Lake Port, FL, where he enjoyed fishing. When back in O’Fallon, he loved the breakfast with the Hardee’s group and occasionally popping in George Portz bluegrass festivals and playing the spoons. Everyone knew his passion for fishing and hunting, especially with his nephew, Gary Steward. Everyone will remember his prank of coming up behind you and tickling you!
According to Abe’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held at this time.
