

Amanda Raquel Hooper, of Collinsville, Illinois passed away Wednesday February 11th, 2026, at the age of 36. She was born to Clarence and Leslee (nee Cook) Edwards on August 26th, 1989, in Columbia Missouri.
Amanda is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Leslee Edwards, and her grandparents, Robert and Joyce Cook.
Those left to cherish Amanda’s memory are her brothers, Adrian Hooper and CeeJ Edwards (Justin Simmons). Sisters: Jessica Hooper, Ashley Gibbons, Haley Perry, and Whitney Perry. Her niece Lilith Hooper, Great aunts: Jean Buchana, Margie Foster, Mary Cook, Linda Owen and Sharon Rachel; her beloved dog Starla, cats Ted and Chester, and many other dear friends and family members.
Amanda was known for her beautiful soul and contagious laughter and smile, Amanda truly lit up the room when she walked in. Amanda had a passion for music and art in all forms, may that be: coloring, painting, make-up, nail art, singing, rapping, she loved it all. She had a fascination with make-up and was very talented at it; beauty, costume and horror were her thing, and she truly excelled at them all. Amanda’s love for art led to an internship with an art program, as well as taking the steps to learn how to become a tattoo apprentice. Amanda was a local musical artist and would perform around town in the 2010’s with her friends under her well-known rap name, “Hefty-Fine”.
Amanda was a dedicated follower of ICP, and was extremely active in the community, she loved going to “The Gathering” with her fellow Juggalos/Juggalettes. Amanda had a hand in helping others with the Gathering and their sobriety support groups as well as a nationwide group of fans who would keep in contact with one another.
Amanda had a love of reading; she owned many books and loved to immerse herself in the worlds she read about. She was also a big horror fan and was truly excited for the new Scream movie coming out this month. Amanda also had fun with her friends, traveling across the county to just see the sights and enjoy the company.
Amanda was a warrior; in her lifetime she survived and overcame many hardships and fought her hardest up until her last days. Amanda was very fortunate to have a very tight support circle of dear friends whom she relied upon. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to those who were always there in Amanda’s times of need.
Amanda was a truly amazing, loving, and kind sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all who have the honor to know and love her. When you see a butterfly come by, think of Amanda and the love, beauty, and kindness she put out into the world around her.
