

Bernard, “Cass”, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His loving wife of 65 years, Pauline R. Lillis Keller, preceded him in death in 2016. Surviving are his children Bruce, Janet, David and Sandra ( Paul ) Possemato. His grandchildren whom he was so proud of Matthew (Rachel) Keller, Shaunna (Andrew) Van Hout, Sean Possemato and Rocky Possemato; as well as his great grandchildren Rylan Keller, Myles Keller, Oscar Van Hout and Sylas Keller, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Mother Nora Farrow; and siblings, Allen (Olive)Farrow, Ronald Farrow and Carla (Pete Quinn III) Quinn. Found family memories involving trips to visit his brothers and Sister and all of their amazing kids.
Bernard, “Cass”, attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated East St. Louis High School in 1942. He enlisted in the Navy, US Naval Air division in February of 1944 where he was trained as a Bombardier and Radar Operator. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1952. Bernard, “Cass”, worked as a Sales and Marketing Branch Manager for IBM, Control Data Corporation (CDC) and Service Bureau Company (SBC), most of his work family knew him as “BJ”. One of his best friends was fellow branch manager Charlie Hettenbach. One great moment in “BJ’s” life was shortly after Charlie went to work with NEC Charlie invited him to the NEC World Championship of golf in Akron, Ohio where he had lunch with the great Jack Nickolas. Cass loved golf, cards and socializing with his friends throughout his life. Early in their married life Cass and Pauline loved to travel and entertain. He was surrounded by many wonderful and lifelong friends including Russ and Lois Bowman and their children Nick (Karen), Matt and Russ (Debbie) as well as Bill and Wanda, “Dave”, Roewe and their children Danny (Ida), Doug, Donna (Bruce) and Connie White. Some of the families very special memories included vacationing with the Roewe’s at Lake of the Ozarks and frequent visits to the Bowman’s. Cass was a devout family man and a wonderful father. If he had a credo it was “Family always came first, no matter what”.
