Betty M. McCall Simpson

Betty was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church, where she assisted in many ways including funeral luncheons. She was also a member of the Senior Citizen Center in Fairview Heights. Betty enjoyed eating out at local dining establishments. Betty was also a certified nurse’s aide. She devoted many hours to assist with Toys for Tots, annually.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Melvin Simpson, parents; Ira and Marian E., nee Atherton, McCall, sisters; Sharon Barnett, and Marsha McCall, and a brother-In-Law, Roy Rogers.

Surviving are her children; Cynthia (Conrad) Stark of Collinsville, Illinois, Richard Simpson, Texas, and Marilyn Simpson, of New Baden, Illinois, grandchildren, Jonathan (Alisha) Stark, Christopher (Carrie) Stark, great grandchildren; Travis Stark, and Anthony and Sheradin Rakers, sister, Nancy Rogers, of Collinsville, Illinois, a brother, Jack McCall of Collinsville, Illinois, a brother-in-law, Rick Barnett of St. Louis, Missouri, as well as many nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at Lake View Funeral Home.

Funeral: will be held at 11 am on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015 at Lake View Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
