Bonnie L. Higgerson

Bonnie L. Higgerson (nee Neudecker), 91, of Panama City Beach, Florida, formerly of Fairview Heights, Illinois, born February 26, 1929, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April, 23, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Everett “Roy” Higgerson, and her parents, Rodney and Dessie (Stroud) Neudecker.

Bonnie is survived by a daughter, Karen (Jim) Sprinkle of Maryville, Illinois, and a son, Kevin (Donna) Higgerson, of O'Fallon, Illinois; two grandchildren, Jill Sprinkle and Jarrod Sprinkle; two great-grandchildren, Andrew Sprinkle and Blake Sprinkle; a brother, Rodney (Deanna) Neudecker, a sister, Judith (Stan) Underwood, as well as many nieces, nephews; extended family and friends.

Bonnie and her late husband, Roy, enjoyed attending and serving at St. Andrew’s Baptist Church in Panama City, Florida. They led the Senior Winter Guest program, and she volunteered in the church’s benevolence ministry. Bonnie loved meeting new people, sewing, crafting, and singing in the church’s senior choir. Prior to moving to Florida she had been a lifelong member of Full Gospel Tabernacle, now known as Grace Church in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

A private graveside service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Illinois with Pastor Hal Santos officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
