Danny Leroy Raffety

He is preceded in death by his parents, Forrest E. and Helen M. (Hylsky) Raffety, a brother David E. Raffety and a daughter Sarah M. Raffety.

Danny is survived by his wife of 48 years Peggy (Hicks) Raffety of Maryville, Illinois, his children, Scott Pingel and partner Melissa Cornwall of Collinsville, Illinois, Logan and Christine Raffety of Collinsville, Illinois, and a sister Diana Grammer of Louisville, Kentucky, and a sister Joyce Williams of Tallahassee, Florida. He leaves 3 grandchildren, Caleb Randall, Elaina Raffety and Charlotte Masters. He loved his family, cousins, nieces, nephew and many friends.

Danny served his country valiantly in the United States Navy. Upon his honorable discharge, he later worked at U.S. Steel in Granite City, Illinois. During his free time, he enjoyed playing and watching golf and many other sports.

Memorial Gathering will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Private placement of cremation will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research in lieu of flowers.
