Darrell Edward Hindman

Darrell worked for over 30 years with Taylor Roofing, formerly, Biebel Roofing, in Belleville, Illinois. He received his 40 year pin as a member of the Indiana State Council of Roofers, Local 2. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending many days at the family’s clubhouse, which enabled him to fish, hunt, and boat. He was an amazing family man, who was fun loving and will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by a son, Scott E. Hindman; his parents, Woodrow and Eileen, nee Nelson, Hindman; and a sister, Grace Marie Hindman.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Joyce L. Hindman, nee Schmidt, of Belleville, Illinois; his daughters, Kimberly (Scott) Rollet, of Burfordville, Missouri and Tracy (Lester) Chapman, of Jackson, Missouri; his three grandchildren, Corey (Shanna) Chapman, Brandon Chapman, and Ashley Chapman; and his two great grandchildren, Palin Chapman and Maci Chapman; his siblings, Gerry ( Fred) Frank, Dennis (Susan) Hindman, and Linda (Rudy) Bailey; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 28, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Jack Kurrelmeyer officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
