He is preceded in death by his wife, Juva Lou Stutsman, nee Cunningham; his father, David Stutsman; Mother Eleanor Huegley and Stepfather Wallace Huegley; and a Daughter Laura Crook, nee Stutsman.

Mr. Stutsman graduated in 1947 from Nashville (Ill.) High School. He went on to attend the University of Illinois Law School and earned his degree there in 1953. As with many young men of the time Uncle Sam tapped him on the shoulder and Mr. Stutsman served in the US Army from 1953-1955. He was honorably discharged in 1963 after several years as a reservist. Mr. Stutsman married his sweetheart Juva Lou Cunningham in 1955
He settled into work and family life, joining Walker and Williams PC in 1953 where he was a practicing trial lawyer for nearly 50 years. During his distinguished career he was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates. He also served as President of the St. Clair County Bar Association
In retirement Mr. Stutsman started spending time in Florida. As the years passed he spent more and more time in the pleasant climate, until he sold his home in Swansea and made Florida his permanent residence. He became a part-time golfer and full-time tennis player, competing in many leagues and tournaments over the years, including the Senior Olympics.
He will be sorely missed by all of his family, friends and colleagues...remembered for his politeness, infectious smile and the immense respect he showed everyone that he ever met; however, he would never wish for this to be a time of mourning but rather a celebration of his life and a sharing of the great memories.
