Diane Alice McClary

Diane Alice, nee Worley, McClary, 66, of Fairview Hgts, Ill., born January 27, 1943 in Madison, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, December 13, 2009 in Hospice Care at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois surrounded by her loving husband and all five of her children. While raising and caring for her family, Diane completed her studies at Washington University, St. Louis, MO., and went on to become a X-Ray therapist for St. Mary’s Hospital, East St. Louis, Ill. She later furthered her career and entered into the field of Ultrasonography at St. Mary’s Hospital in Granite City, Ill., where she finally retired after 35 years of service in 2005. Diane’s compassion was unmatched and all that crossed her path left each encounter a better person. She readily gave everything she had, and never asked for anything in return.She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Aurelia, nee Clemme, Worley; and a sister, Kate Worley.Surviving are her loving husband of 50 years, George D. McClary of Fairview Hgts, Ill., of whom she married on August 6, 1959. Her five loving children, Peter C. (Cathy) McClary of Weston, Mo., Stephen M. (Giselle) McClary of Naperville, Ill., Laura C. (John) Clarice of Belleville, Ill., Phillip E. (Mary) McClary of Smithton, Ill., and Michael W. (Antonina) McClary of Shiloh, Ill.; her brother, Charles (Sherri) Worley of Belleville, Ill., a sister, Susan Depping of Belleville, Ill., and her eleven beautiful grandchildren, Jennifer, Ben, Luke, Jake, Matthew, Nicholas, Alaina, Oliva, Brannan, Connor and Francesca; and her cats, Gracie and Chocolate; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. They all loved her and will miss her dearly.Memorials may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center, St. Louis, Mo.Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Hgts, Ill.A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Lake View Funeral Home with Father Nick Junker officiating.Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Hgts, Ill.
