Ellen Louise Gentry Combs

Ellen was a Registered Nurse for Hospice of Southern Illinois and Barnes Jewish Hospital. She was the past President of Eagles Auxiliary 545 in Shiloh, Illinois. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, riding motorcycles and traveling to the ocean, but her most treasured moments were those spent with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Wilburn “Wimpy” Gentry, Sr.; her husband, Glenn Combs; and her brother, Wilburn “Butch” Gentry, Jr.

Surviving is her mother, Rose Marie, nee Willmont, Gentry; her sister, Karen (Gary) Eberle; her two sisters-in-law, Sue (John) Steinkoenig, and Lavon (Everett) Manasco; her nieces and nephews, Matthew, Justin, Cody, John, Patrick, Jeff, James, Jaime, Theresa, and Tracy; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and friends.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2016 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights. Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
