

Ethel was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, O’Fallon Ward. She was also involved with the O’Fallon Senior Citizens Center. She worked at the O’Fallon Locker on State Street for many years. She took great pride in her home and yard, especially tending to her flowers and rock gardens. She enjoyed taking walks with her good friend, Shirley Mullet. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey B. Miller; a daughter-in-law, Susette Ditzler; her parents, Jacob and Edna, nee Young, Ditzler; her five brothers, Leon, Arthur, Jacob, Erle, and Harold Ditzler; and her four sisters, Evelyn Boyer, Dorothy Sipe, Gladys gribble, and Doris Mowrer.
Surviving are her children, Kenneth Ditzler, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, Kay (William) Haukapp, of O’Fallon, Illinois, and Curtis Miller, of Potosi, Missouri; her grandchildren, Derek (Shawn) Ditzler, Brad (Kim) Haukapp, Keith Haukapp, Wendy (Hank) Wegs, Colleen Miller, and Nathan Miller; 10 great grandchildren, her good friends, Shirley Mullet and Helen Murphy; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Family Hospice, especially Brandon, Matt, Linda, and Cindy; and to their neighbors, Rick and Debbie Burrow, for all their care and support.
