Gloria Jean Wright

Gloria enjoyed shopping, gambling, traveling and most of all, spending time with her family. She was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church Women’s Circle in East St. Louis and was a longtime member of St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Belleville, IL. She worked as an office manager for a medical office for many years. She was a woman of faith, she demonstrated strength and was incredibly kind, funny, loving and supportive. Gloria will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gordon L. Wright; parents, John A. Barker and Lillie D. (nee Bonesteel) Barker; brothers, Marshall G., Billy A. and John E. Barker; sister, Betty Meyer; daughter, Lisa A. White; grandchild, Lenny Wright; brother-in-law, Charles Meyer; sons-in-law, Rick White and Tom Brozich; sisters-in-law, Dorothy L. Barker, Rita Barker, and Norma L. Reger.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Gordon “Len” (Shelly) Wright and Robin J. Wright-Brozich; sister-in-law, Dorothy M. Barker; plus numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she completely adored.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Gloria. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Heartland Hospice, located at 615 Washington Ave, Washington, MO 63090.

Visitation will take place at Lake View Funeral Home in Fairview Heights, IL on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 12 PM to 2 PM; the funeral service will commence at 2 PM, immediately followed by interment at Lake View Memorial Gardens.
