Mr. James C. Perkins

Mr. Perkins was a veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge 664, member of American Legion Post 365 serving as the Finance Officer, and a V.F.W. member.

James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Mr. Perkins is preceded in death by his father, Oscar Covarrubias; mother, Dorothy Covarrubias.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Barbara Perkins, nee Whittington; sons, Jeff (Tammy) Perkins and Wayne (Jennifer) Perkins; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren; step-mother, Velda Covarrubias; step-brothers, Ronald (Karen) Covarrubias, and Leonard (Paula) Covarrubias.

Funeral Service: Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Sat., Aug 20, 2011 at Lake View Funeral Home with interment following at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
