Jean Bynum

Flora “Jean” Bynum, born on September 10, 1931 in Hickman, KY passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 in Belleville, IL. Jean was a kind hearted person who loved her family, friends, and her special pets. She worked most of her life as an administrative assistant and retired from the Caseyville Nursing Home. After retirement, she continued to work at Tip Top Cleaners where she continued to meet new friends and touch more lives. She will be missed greatly by everyone who had the pleasure to know her.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Gaylon and Marguerite (nee Argo) Bynum; twin sister, Ora Dean Bynum; brothers, Russell G. and Jerry (Alice Jean) Bynum; and a nephew, Frank Bynum.

She is survived by her special sister-in-law, Barbara Bynum of Belleville, IL; nieces, Elizabeth (Arthur) Oppermann, Ellery and Emily Bynum, E. Maureen (John) Humbert, and Tammy (J. D.) Parkhurst; nephews, Gregory (Renee) Seaman and William (Eileen) Seaman; great nieces and nephews, Amanda and Arthur Oppermann, Evan, Ethan, Aaron, Jack, Rachel, Tristan, Natalie, Zachary, Samuel, and Ryan; and many beloved friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Westfield Manor, 7245 Westfield Plaza Drive, Belleville, IL 62223. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Kidney Fund. Expressions of condolence may be offered at www.lakeviewfuneralhm.com
