Jerry Ann Obst

Jerry Ann Obst, 86, of Saint Petersburg, FL passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024. She was born on February 18, 1938 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Loyola and Ester (Grottendick) McNamara. Jerry married Wayne R. Obst in 1957 at St. Paul Church in Belleville, IL. Jerry dedicated her life to caring for others. She was the director of nursing for 31 years as well as the director of the St. Clair County Health Department. Throughout her career, Jerry touched the lives of countless individuals, providing quality care and comfort to those in need. Jerry will be deeply missed by her friends and family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and service that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Surviving to cherish her memory include her children, Lance (Debby) Obst, Sheryl Glen and Curt Obst and four grandchildren, Curtis Lee, Crystal, Amber and Emily.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 59 years, Wayne R. Obst; daughter-in-law, Sandy Obst and one brother, Tom.

Funeral service for Jerry will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 12:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with visitation from 10:00am until time of service. Entombment to follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens.
