Jessica Lynn Marten

Jessica graduated Belleville East High School in 2003 and was a member of the National Honor Society. She earned her bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale graduating magna cum laude. While at Carbondale, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. Jessica worked as a paralegal in the Belleville area. Jessica was very active in the Wounded Warrior Project and enjoyed helping veterans. She was a former T-ball coach and board member of the Fairview Heights Khoury League.

She was preceded in death by her Fiancé, Marcus DeAntoni, her paternal grandparents, Bernard and Helen Marten, and her maternal grandfather, John Robert Hancock.

Surviving are her children; Taylor Johnson and Ally Marten, her mother, Tracy (Jim) Davis, nee Hancock, of Collinsville, Illinois, her father, Robert Marten of Fairview Heights, Illinois, two brothers, Ryan K. Marten and Tyler R. Marten, two sisters, Jacqueline N. Marten and Courtney R. Marten, maternal grandmother, Doris Hancock of North Adams Massachusetts, several aunts and uncles; Richard Marten of Woodbridge, Illinois, James Marten of Seattle, Washington, Barbara Marten of Decatur, Illinois, Ann Nation of Decatur, Illinois, Dennis Marten of Independence, Missouri, Doris Karampatsos of Williamstown, Massachusetts, Laurie Danforth of West Sand Lake, New York, Jamie Hancock of North Adams, Massachusetts, and John Hancock of Coral Springs, Florida, a step-sister, Krysta Davis, three step-brothers, Ryan, Calvin, and Cole Davis, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
