Jo Ann Shaver

Jo Ann Shaver, 87, of Belleville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Freeburg Care Center. She was born July 4, 1935 in Belleville to Frank and Anna (Heinzl) Lebruska. Jo married Cecil “Ed” Shaver September 7, 1955 in Edwardsville, IL. Jo was a proud military wife and homemaker. The Air Force often had the Shaver family moving to new locations, which sparked their love for travel. After Ed retired, they continued to travel the country in their RV. Jo had a passion for gardening and crafting. She also loved birds, as well as all other animals.

Survivors include her children, Laura (Dennis) Rea, Lynda (Bob) Wallace, Buzz “Edwin” (Iralonna) Shaver, and Michael (Jeanenne) Shaver; step-daughters, Cheryl VanBrocklin, Diana (Ray) Bacon; grandchildren, Brian (Amy) Schandl, Steven Schandl, Alex (Emma) Rea, Kayla Marie Rea, Rob (Holly) Wallace, Ken (Shannon) Wallace, Justin (Sarah) Wallace, Marc (Charlotte) Shaver, Alyssa (Jacob) Konkel, Corey (Meghan) Shaver and Heather (Blake) Crump-Wills and many great-grandchildren, special niece and nephew, Patti Bomar and Jamie Bomar; long time best friend, Dixie Ferrell. She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Cecil “Ed” Shaver; step-daughter, Teryl Lynn.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 10:00am – 12:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 12:00pm in the funeral home with Bob Wallace officiating. Private Family inurnment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
