

Joseph “Joe” Frank Restoff Jr., passed away Friday, December 23, 2022. He was born November 18, 1932 in East St. Louis to Joseph and Mary (Waligarski) Restoff Sr. Joe was a veteran of the United States Army. He married Darlene Mary Purcell. He was a warrior raising 8 children with Darlene, before her passing in 1991. Joe was a mechanic who could fix just about anything. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Joe especially enjoyed coaching khoury league and attending all the grandkids sporting events. He was an avid donor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a devoted member of the St. Clare of Assisi Church.
Survivors include his children, Victoria “Vickie” (Jim) Hendricks, Barbara (Marc) Lewis, Randall “Randy” (Debbie) Restoff, Pamela “Pam” (Todd) Loyet; grandchildren, Charlie Painter, Rodney Painter, Angie Hilton, Jason Restoff, Tony Manley, Melody Hendricks, Jimmy Hendricks, Renee Field, Shanna Higgerson, Payton Restoff, Randy Restoff, Tim Pflasterer, Michael Loyet, Amber Decker, David Loyet, Laney Restoff and Lauren Restoff; great-grandchildren, Kayley, Amanda, Angel, Natasha, Laci, Codi, Gage, Alyssa, Dylan, Braylon, Landon, Aiden, Dillion, Autumn, Christian, Chase, Cole, Sophia, Seth, Avery, Owen, Destiny; 3 great-great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Nancy Restoff. Preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Darlene Mary Restoff; children, Joseph “Joey” Restoff, William “Bill” Restoff, Edward “Eddie” Restoff and Rodney “Rod” Restoff; grandson, Gary Wayne Manley; great-granddaughter, Layla.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023 at 1:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with visitation from 11:00am until time of service in the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
