Joyce M. McDonald McVey

Mrs. McVey was retired from a career spent in banking and finance at the former Centerre Bank and Gateway Associates.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Joyce enjoyed playing bridge with close friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and step mother; Merritt “Mossy” and Betty McDonald, her step father, Tony M. McKenzie, a sister, Donna McDonald, three nephews, Timothy Collins, Steven Green, and Brian Green, a step sister, Myrtle Collins, a step brother, Charles McKenzie, and a brother-in-law, Gary McVey.

Surviving is her husband of 51 years, Daniel McVey, her mother, Gwen McKenzie, nee Huston, her sons; Michael (Nancy) McVey of Swansea, Illinois, and Patrick McVey of Granite City, Illinois, three grandchildren; Daniel McVey, Ryan McVey, and Erin McVey, two brothers; Tony I. (Sondra) McKenzie of Marion, Illinois, and James (Patty) McDonald of Effingham, Illinois, two sisters; Karen (Ted) Kluck of Hartford City, Indiana, and Sharon (Mark) Benjamin of Joliet, Illinois, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
