Kathy Lynn Grotsky

Kathy enjoyed music and was an avid Elvis fan. She also liked hummingbirds, horses, dogs, and watching the “Blue Angels” perform over the skies of Scott Air Force Base. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Belle, nee Harrison, Buehler.

Surviving are her children, Denise (Scott) Futter, of Ontario, Canada, Dennis E. (Kim) Grotsky, Jr., of O’Fallon, Illinois, and Angela (Jon) Rice, of O’Fallon, Illinois; her grandchildren, Travis (Kara Williams) Grotsky, Bert Massena, Skyler Grotsky, Michael Grotsky, PV2 Brandon Schardan, US Army, Brittney Rice, Matthew Rice, and one on the way; two great grandchildren, Skilar and Rachel; her former husband, Dennis E. Grotsky, Sr.; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2015 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
