

Larry proudly served his country by 23 years of dedicated service in the U.S. Air Force. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam war and retired as a Master Sergeant. Mr. Borowiak was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in O’Fallon as well as a member of M.E.S.S. In his free time, he loved vacationing, especially cruises, and was extremely fond of his cats.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Wanda, nee Mortek, Borowiak; 2 brothers, Frank and Steve Borowiak; a sister, Irene Borowiak; and 2 brothers-in-law, John Merrill and Clifford Cody.
He is survived by his loving wife Audrey, nee Scribner, Borowiak, sharing 25 beautiful years together; a step-son, Carl (Patricia) Partee of Hopkinsville, Ken.; a step-daughter, Leslie (Tim) Pruett of Freeburg, Ill; beloved JaJa to Joseph Pruett, Jacob Pruett, Scott (Michale) Partee, Lance Lord, Cory (Kyle) Partee, Brandon Partee, Carleigh Partee, and Kaden Partee; 2 brothers, Robert (Carolyn) Borowiak and Clarence Borowiak; a sister, Gertrude (Archie) Fuqua; 3 brothers-in-law, David (Mary) Scribner, Andrew (Linda) Scribner, and Adrian Scribner; 2 sisters-in-law, Donna Merrill and Hazel Cody; his M.E.S.S. friends; special companions “6”, Opal, and Screecher; as well as numerous nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11am on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Lake View Funeral Home with Fr. Bill Hitpas officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
