Linda’s fight to stay on this earth as long as possible started the day she was born, 3 months premature, weighing just 2 pounds 11 ounces. At the time, she was one of the smallest babies to survive this start in life. Throughout her life, she persevered through many health challenges while remaining abundantly loving toward the people in her life and toward total strangers.
Linda worked at many Daycare Centers over the years. She loved her job and the countless babies she cared for and loved. The last center she worked for was Jack & Jill Day Care Center.
After retiring due to health reasons, Linda was limited in how she could socialize, so she used social media extensively to stay in touch with the people she loved. From friends and family to the families of the precious children she loved and took care of over the years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Lane, and her mother, Iris Lane. Her uncle, John Lane of South Carolina, and her cherished cousin, Laura Stringer.
She is survived by her sister Edna (Lane) Sprinz and brother-in-law Jim Sprinz of Belleville. Her treasured niece and nephew, Shelby Sprinz and Derek Sprinz. Her cousins are Scott Stringer, Becky Tyler, Debbie Foppe, Lisa Stringer Abdulah, Amanda Foppe, Dayna Vickery, and Diana Vickery.
Her beloved family in South Carolina includes her Aunts Grace Lane and Frankie Burns. Cousins Bridget Combs and Matt Burns. Elizabeth Moriarty and Samantha Burns. John Lane, Kayla Lane, Bailey Lane, Mallory Lane. Tonya Counts, Blake Counts, Ryan Counts, and Coby Counts.
A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held at Papa Vito's, located at 318 West Washington Street, Belleville, Illinois, 62220. The event is scheduled for November 8, 2025, starting at 1:00 pm.
