

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alice Criblez; brother, Allan Criblez; sister, Sally Stiles; daughter, Vickie Jo Parker and great-grandson, Benjamin Battas.
She is survived by her two children, Larry (Susy) Creighton of Belleville and Jeff Creighton of Olathe, Kansas. Also surviving are her son-in-law, Harlan Parker of Overland Park Kansas and three grandchildren, Jason (Morgan) Parker of Overland Park, Kansas, Ashley(Dustin) Battas of Glen Carbon and Robert Charles Creighton of Fairview Heights; four great-granddaughters Riley and Vivienne Parker, Beckett and Bradley Cate Battas and two great-grandsons Brooks Battas and Wyatt Parker. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Lillian Criblez of Potomac, Illinois.
Margie was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church which she joined shortly after her retirement and move to the area. She has been a member of Christian Churches for many years in a number of places where she has lived.
She first worked at a printing company in Danville, Illinois. After the birth of her children she was employed at Potomac High School, Kankakee School District 111, Kankakee Eastridge High School, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs in Chicago and for Lieutenant Governor Bob Kustra in his Chicago office from which she retired in 1995.
Margie moved to Swansea after her retirement where she enjoyed meeting and making new friends either in her church, her volunteer duties or playing golf.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with funeral service at 5:00pm in the funeral home. Family inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cornerstone Christian Church, 775 N. Green Mount Rd., Shiloh, IL 62221.
