Mary B. Brown

Mary was born August 22, 1925 in Boaz, KY to John A. and Gertrude (Tucker) Harper. They preceded her in death.

She was married to William R. “Ray” Brown for 25 years before he passed. Mary was also preceded in death by her sons, Larry C. Crockett, David C. Crockett, Jody Ray Brown, Timothy E. Brown and Michael L. Brown; three brothers and three sisters; and her son-in-law, Lewis Johnson; grandson, Jesse Joe Michael Brown; granddaughter, Melanie; great-grandson, Michael.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Carla (James E. “Earl” Sellers) Johnson of Waterloo, IL; grandchildren, Natasha, David, Larry Jr., Tony, Cindy, Brian, Danny, Becky, Mickey, Richie, Timmy and Dustin; many beloved great-grandchildren and her step-siblings, Connie Brown and her children, Denice and Brandon and Buddy Brown and his children, Colleen, Teresa and Nathan.

Mary was a devoted homemaker, caring dearly for her children and family throughout her life. She enjoyed yard sales and resale shopping. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A special thanks to everyone who helped and cared for Mary throughout the last years of her life, including Anne Crockett who truly went above and beyond with her love and kindness and many thanks to Oak Hill Nursing and Vitas Hospice.

Cremation rites have been accorded under the direction of Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

Final interment will be held at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville, IL on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.

Memorial donations may be made to the family, to put towards a marker at St. John’s Cemetery in Collinsville, where final interment will be.
