Mary resided in Belleville, IL. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She cherished nothing more than her family. Mary was a bus monitor, and would help kids with special needs on/off the bus. She was also a disciplinary reporter from 2000 to 2008 at Durham School Services. Mary was dedicated to helping others especially children in need. She will be missed by many.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Johnny Jolliffe, Porky Jolliffe; sister, Doris Woods; her husband, Gene Schmidt; grandsons, Nichols Schmidt, Gene Schmidt III.
Mary is survived by her brothers; sons, Gene Schmidt Jr, Michael Schmidt; grandchildren, Crystal, Lynn, Greg; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials in Mary’s honor may be made to the family.
