I know this is the anniversary of her death And I would like to say to Her father that He is in my thoughts and prayers

I want to start with an apology for not sending this sooner. It has taken me time to process this and what I want to say. My heart aches for Kathy, and Mikayla's entire family, this is a pain you all don't deserve to endure. However, you are not alone in enduring this; I, and many others will walk this path alongside you. 
Mikayla and I were good friends in high school, especially freshman and sophomore year, when we had a lot of classes together. She gave me a lot of strong voice and confidence when I didn't really have any of that yet. I used to be shy and say I was too ugly to get with any of my crushes, and she would tell me, "you're hot, you got this." I remember that so well to this day, and her warmth  always stuck with me. We kept in touch through Facebook afterwards.
It shattered my heart and shocked me to find out she passed. Please, reach out to me (Brandon Moore on Facebook) any time, to talk, reminisce, anything. Please take care of yourselves, and know Mikayla's soul will live on in our memories.

My heart goes out to the family.  Such a beautiful voice she had. I'm sure her and Lisa spent some time doing karaoke together.  May you rest in peace 🙏 ❤️

Mikayla was so sweet and down to earth. She was always smiling and she was a great nurse. She will truly be missed. RIP boo gone to soon.

Mikayla was a beautiful person inside and out. She will be missed greatly. I will keep her family and friends in my prayers.

Mikayla and I started together as baby (new) nurses on 1 Center about four years ago. I’m not as outgoing as her but there was many dance parties and karaoke sessions at the nurse’s station. She had a personality that one doesn’t forget. Mikayla was loyal and helpful to her coworkers and passionate about her patients. I was saddened to hear the news. She will definitely be missed!

I was very sad to hear about your loss.  I was one of Mikayla's nursing instructors at SWIC.  She was a very bright energetic young woman.

Mikayla always had time to talk with me at pool. I was a nurse 22 years. She must have been a great nurse. As she was very knowledgeable, caring and kind! Sweet angel, until we meet again. 

I met Mikayla during pool league 5 years ago She was an amazing person. Her smile and personality would literally light up the room no matter what kind of mood a person would be in her liveliness would definitely make you laugh and smile.  Sending my condolences to her all her family & friends

My prayers go out to Mikayla's family and friends.  Mikayla had  smile that lit up the room, her laughter was contagious!  She was part of my pool family and she will be sorely missed...Fly high my beautiful friend 

I am so very sorry for your loss. Mikayla was an amazing nurse. I only know her because she was taking care of my mom at Memorial in May and got us through a very difficult night. We recently lost my mom too and Mikayla was there the night before she passed and gave me a huge hug and treated me as if we had known each other for years. I am shocked and saddened to hear of her passing but I promise my momma welcomed her with open arms. May she Rest In Peace. Gone entirely too soon.

Mikayla, We miss you so much already. It is hard to believe this is real and that you are no longer with us. I have always been so proud of you, you had goals and dreams and you went after them! I was so proud at your High School and Nursing Graduations and proud of you for your accomplishments! 
I will dearly miss you, life here is so short anyway but now all the more short for what happened in your case.
