Nancy Geraldine Rettinghouse, age 77, of Fairview Heights, Illinois passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024. She was born November 23, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to Gerald and Bernice (Kofron) Abbott. Nancy professionally cleaned residential homes with her friend, Becky, for 30 years. She was also a member of the Elks Lodge #664. Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving to cherish her memory include her sister, Joyce (Ray Eugea) Stookey; nephew, Brandon (Stephanie) Stookey; daughter-in-law, Tonja Rettinghouse; step-grandchildren, Stephanie and Tina and two step-great-grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Kenneth Rettinghouse; son, Kirk Rettinghouse; sister-in-law, Sandy Purdy.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 12:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service. Pastor Jeff Downward will officiate. Interment will will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens.
