

Olga was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Edward Koenig, whom she married on Dec. 13, 1941 in St. Louis, Mo., and who died Feb. 16, 1987; her parents, Albert and Emelia, nee Meier, Arbogast; 4 brothers, Edwin (Lucille) Arbogast, Elmer (Melba) Arbogast, Edward Arbogast, and Robert (Mary Jo) Arbogast; and three sisters, Alma (Nicholas) Grandcolas, Margaret (John) Ruser, and Ellen (Ralph) Williams.
Surviving are her four children, Michael (Marilyn) Koenig of O’Fallon, Ill., Mary (Roger) Ellithorpe of Pomona, Ill., Alice (Steve) Schardan of Granite City, Ill., and Judy Botkin of St. Clair, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth (Bill Wangler) Koenig of O’Fallon, Ill., Lisa (George) Hayes of Belleville, Ill., Matthew (Amy) Koenig of Homer Glen, Ill., Anna (Ryan) Guetersloh of Murphysboro, Ill., Robert Ellithorpe of Murphysboro, Ill., Scott (Ashley) Schardan of Granite City, Ill., Lindsay (Brad) Hutchings of Granite City, Ill., Billie (Kevin) Hensiek of St. Clair, Mo., and Jason (Jennifer) Botkin of Troy, Mo.; fourteen great-grandchildren, George, Andrew, and Leo Hayes of Belleville, Ill., Michael, Mia, Luke, and Nate Koenig of Homer Glen, Ill., Nolan Guetersloh of Murphysboro, Ill., Scarlett Schardan of Granite City, Ill., Hayden Hutchings of Granite City, Ill., Ashley and Jordan Hensiek of St. Clair, Mo., and Kayla and Megan Botkin of Troy, Mo.; and sister-in-law, Mary Jo (Robert) Arbogast.
