

Paul owned and operated Paragon Typographers, Inc., in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a member of the St. Louis Typographical Union #8 and he attended the Metro East Assembly of God Church, in Troy, Illinois. He enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends. He was also an antique car and motorcycle enthusiast. He was a loving family man, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Connie and Clara, nee Whitfield, Johnson; a daughter in infancy, Brenda Joyce Johnson, and a sister in infancy, Helen Johnson.
Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Jane M. Johnson, nee Cheshier; his children, Charles (Julia) Johnson, Paula (Bruce) Chance, Linda (Mark) Keck, Sharon (Ron) Lakey, and Julie (Howard) Gugel; his grandchildren, Paul W. (Gretchen) Johnson, Ashleigh (Trevor Casper) Johnson, Steven (Amber) Johnson, Shannon (Shane) Humphrey, Leah (Dallas) Mayo, Jason (Sarah) Chance, Kaleigh, Katelyn, and Bailey Keck, Jared, Zachary, and Zoe Lakey, Joshua, Anna, and Adam Gugel; great grandchildren, Samantha, Charlie, Selena, Hannah, Cooper, Paris, Peyton, Piper, Mercedes, Lexis, Carter, Lily, Clement, and Michael; a brother, Bobby (Marilyn) Johnson; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Josh Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois
