

Bob proudly served his country for over 33 years, as a Colonel in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the United States Air Force Thunderbirds Alumni Association and the Maintenance Officers Association. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Culver Stockton University and his Master’s degree from Ball State University. He loved the Lord Jesus and was a member of First Baptist Church in O’Fallon, Illinois. He was heavily involved with the church, its members, and organizations; he led the way and helped establish First Baptist Academy’s athletics program. He was first and foremost, a loving husband who set the example of what it meant to love and cherish family. He loved his children and absolutely adored his grandchildren. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Biehl and Rachel L. “Rae” Medeiros, nee Small.
Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Jackye J. Biehl, nee Cole, of O’Fallon, Illinois; his children, Stacy (Andy) Gibson, of O’Fallon, Illinois and Chad (Stormy) Biehl, of Belleville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Shiloh, Eden, Elijah, Aspen, Canyon, and Summit; a sister, Sherry (Don) Day, of Bloomington, Indiana; and many other relatives, church family and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 at the First Baptist Church O’Fallon and from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon, Saturday, April, 1, 2017 at the church.
Funeral: Services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 1111 E. Hwy. 50, O’Fallon, Illinois. Entombment with Military honors will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
