He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert James and Alma (Sutter) Olson, Sr., and one son, David E. Olson, and one sister Sue Wardynski (Jim).
Bob is survived by his beautiful wife of many years, Maria (Talon) Olson of O’Fallon, Illinois, their daughter, Diane (Wes) Schooley of O'Fallon, Illinois, and their son, Robert (Julie) Olson, Jr., of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and two granddaughters Danielle Olson of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Hannah Livensparger (Isaiah) of Randolph Air Force Base, Texas and one grandson, David Olson-Schooley of O’Fallon, Illinois and sister Cynthia Janke (Mark - deceased).
Bob served his country valiantly in the United States Air Force. Upon his retirement from the military, he worked at the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES). During his free time, he was an avid reader, enjoyed doing yard work, and most importantly, spending time with his beautiful wife, Maria.
