Robert W. Weir

Mr. Weir proudly served his country, during WWII, in the United States Army. He was a member of the Optimist Club of Fairview Heights, Illinois. He graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic, in Chesterfield, Missouri, and was a practicing chiropractor in Edwardsville and Fairview Heights for many years. He was an avid golfer and longtime member of Sunset Hills Country Club, in Edwardsville, Illinois

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, nee Blazek, Weir; and his parents, Walter and Norma, nee Helmick, Wier.

He is survived by his step daughter, Sherri (Ralph) Sauthoff, of Westminster, Colo.; his grandchildren, Matthew (Sue Alice) Sauthoff, of Austin, Texas, Andrew Sauthoff, of Westminster, Colo., and Mark Sauthoff, of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; and a great granddaughter, Brecken Sauthoff.

Funeral: Services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, July 29, 2011, at the funeral home, with Rev. Jim Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois
