

Mr. Wilke was a member of the Men’s 700 Bowling Club; a veteran of the U.S. Army who proudly served during the Korean War; and a lifetime member of VFW Post 1739 in Belleville. He was a retiree from Illinois Power Co. and in his free time he enjoyed working in his yard and loved George Portz and the Friends of Bluegrass.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Wanda J., nee Egger, Wilke; a son, James W. Wilke; his parents, Raymond G. and Aurelia K., nee Birkner, Wilke; a grandson, Brandon Peterson; a brother, Wesley “Sonny” Wilke; a sister, Patricia Felsoci; and a brother-in-law, George Wood.
He is survived by 2 sons, Bobby D. (Shelly) Wilke of Alvin, TX, and Brian Wilke of Castle Rock, CO; a daughter, Diana L. (Blake) Peterson of Belleville, IL; 7 grandchildren, Derek (Brianna) Wilke, Angie Wilke, Tyler Wilke, Ashley Peterson, Lauren (Joel Bishop) Peterson; Ryan Peterson, and Mikaela Wilke; 3 brothers, Raymond “Pal” (Joyce) Wilke, Larry (Myra) Wilke, and Chuck (Cindy) Wilke; 3 sisters, Rae Jean Wood, Joyce (William) Schaaf, And Judy (Gene) Crites; a brother-in-law, John Felsoci; and a sister-in-law, Ethel Wilke.

Funeral: Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Lake View Funeral Home with Fr. Roger Karban officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens.
