Sandra Jeanne Cates

Sandra retired after working for over thirty years at Macy’s & Famous Barr. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Fairview Heights, Illinois. She enjoyed being very active in the lives of her children and grandchildren and playing canasta monthly. She will be truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Betty, nee Crow, Johnson; her loving husband, Thomas Cates, Sr. and her brother Kyle Johnson.

Surviving are her children, David (Rhonda) Cates, of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Dan (Amanda) Cates, of O’Fallon, Illinois; grandchildren, Andrew Stuck, Morgan Cates, Kannon Cates, J.J. Cates and Brooklyn Cates and her brother Mike (Donna) Stuck, of Midland, Texas.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 13th, 2014 at Christ United Methodist Church, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 13th, 2014 at the church. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
