Sharrel Lynn Robertson

Sharrel Lynn Robertson (nee Kuykendall), 76, of Collinsville, IL, born July 20, 1948 in Los Angeles, CA, left her earthly body for her heavenly home promised through her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Tuesday, June 24, 2025 in O’Fallon, IL.

Sharrel was a lifelong resident of Collinsville, IL where she and her husband Roy raised two children. Sharrel worked as a beautician and led bible study for many years. She had a passion for art, painting hundreds of pieces over the years, and she enjoyed playing piano. Sharrel especially loved hosting family gatherings, preparing everyone’s favorite meals and taking pleasure in spending time together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mertin and Mildred (nee Stephens) Kuykendall. Sharrel is survived by her husband of 59 years, Roy Robertson; children, Shari (Robert) Mathenia, and Jason (Nancy) Robertson; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Jesse) Young, Thomas (Mary) Mathenia, Benjamin (Autum Garner) Mathenia, and Michael Robertson; great-grandchildren, Annabeth Young, and Wrenlee and Liam Mathenia; sister, Marsha Voss; nieces, Carrie and Sarah Voss; and special close friends, Pat, Arlene and Sherry.

The family would like to thank the Dammert Care Center staff at Benedictive Living Community- At The Shrine, and the ICU staff at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, for their care and compassion.

Friends may visit on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 10am-12pm, followed by the service at noon, at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 North Illinois St, Fairview Heights, IL. She will then be laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Gardens.
