

During her life, her days were filled with raising her 4 children, Bill (Barb) Pannier Jr., Kristie (Michael) Schmittling, Tina Marie (Ken) Hoff and Michael (Randi) Pannier, taking care of her loving husband, Bill Pannier Sr. (Willie as she called him) and working a variety of jobs. Her final place of employment was at Wal-Mart where she worked for several years before retiring. After retiring she enjoyed taking cruises with Willie and their friends, taking family vacations with the whole clan and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sue Ann spent many of their early years of marriage supporting and rooting Willie on in his stock car racing. Sometimes even getting behind the wheel of a stock car herself and participating in the Powder Puff Derby. She was a woman of many talents and could do just about anything she set her mind to. She was the drum majorette for New Athens High School. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, quilting, canning and making jelly and even played on a softball team with her daughters for awhile. She liked watching the Cardinals games and Nascar races and enjoyed listening to Country Western music.
Sue Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Skaer and step-father Bill Skaer; her father Raymond Bachmann and step-mother Martha Bachmann; her brother Terry Bachmann; her grandson Bryk Pannier.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Pannier Sr.; 4 children, Bill (Barb) Pannier Jr., Kristie (Michael) Schmittling, Tina Marie (Ken) Hoff, and Michael (Randi) Pannier; 8 grandchildren, Dustin (Anna) Pannier, Becky (Mike) Schulte, Stephanie (Brian) Eiseman, Rachel (Jimmy) Gorka, Jessica (David) Kernan III, Dale (Candace) Hoff, Samantha (Mike) Pennington, Scotlen and Kodi Pannier; 10 great grandchildren, Chloe and Benjamin Pannier, Lilly and Lucas Mohler, Sadie Gorka, Brayden Kernan and Barrett Agne, Noah, John and Elijah Pennington.
A visitation for Sue Ann will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM.
