

Ted served his country proudly in the US Army during WWII. He earned a Doctorate Degree in economics. He was a devout parishioner of St. Andrew’s Church in Westwood, NJ. He was a proud member of the Polish American Club and loved to do research in Polish genealogy. He was an avid sports fan and coached baseball and softball in Michigan and New Jersey.
Ted was preceded in death by his wife Regina Obal; son-in-law Bryan Carlstrom; son Gregory Obal; sister Helen Smith and parents, Joseph and Victoria Obal.
Surviving are his sons; Stephen (Rebecca), Keith (Zinta), Vincent and Philip (Melinda); daughter Kathleen Obal Carlstrom; brothers Joseph Obal, Stanley Obal and sister Clara Tebbano; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm, Friday, October 10, 2014 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois and Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 9am to 10am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
