Thomas R. Shevlin

Thomas was preceded in death by the love of his life, Bonnie J. Shevlin (nee Ferrell); son, Thomas P. Shevlin; mother, Catherine Miller (nee Fitzgerald); brothers Bill Shevlin, Eddie Shevlin, Victor Shevlin and Joseph Shevlin; and sisters Genevive Orrell, Evelyn "Shorty" Metcalf, and Virginia Pruett.

Thomas and Bonnie married on March 11, 1960.

Thomas is survived by sons Kevin (Susan) Shevlin, Mark (Lisa) Shevlin, Keith (Zandra) Shevlin; daughters Donna (Jesse) Tow and Jennifer (Daniel Kerperien) Qualls; grandchildren, Patricia (Nathan), Michael (Melissa Angarita), Neal (Vanessa), Karla (Dennis), Erin (Jared), David (Jessica), Marlie, Drew, Sahvanna (Adam), Danea, Candice, Keylee, Kirstynne, Kayden, Dustin, and Danielle; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Pat Shevlin; sister Gertrude Caldwell; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Tom retired from Laborers International Union of North America Local #100. He enjoyed playing cards and chess, fishing, mowing grass, and most of all, spending time with his family.

A visitation for Thomas will be held Saturday, March 03, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N Illinois St, Fairview Heights, Illinois 62208. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 03, 2018 at 12:00 PM, 5000 N Illinois St, Fairview Heights, Illinois 62208. Burial will immediately follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, 5000 N Illinois St, Fairview Heights, Illinois 62208.
