Wanda V. Griswold

Wanda V. Griswold, nee Wilson, 90, of Wood River, Illinois, born November 9, 1920 in Harrisburg, Illinois went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Bethalto Care Center in Bethalto, Illinois.

Mrs. Griswold was a member of Gross Point Church in South Roxana, Illinois. Wanda was a trained beautician, wrote poems, and enjoyed gardening, flowers, and working outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William O. and Eva Mae, nee Harrawood, Wilson, her husband, John L. Griswold, a grandchild, Marion Faries, one sister, Ruby Aud, and one brother, Claudis Wilson.

Surviving are her daughters, Judy (Jim) Faries of Wood River, Illinois, L. Lee (Nelson) Soto of Palm Desert, California, and Toni Griswold of Palm Desert, California, two grandchildren, Denny (Charla) Faries, and Dede (Robert) Hammond, great grandchildren, Matthew Faries, Myles Faries, Tanner (Brittany) Faries, and Kylie (Andrew) Faries, a great great grandchild,

Dayne Faries, a sister, Joy (Tom) Churchwell, a granddaughter-in-law, Debbie Faries, dear friend, Sue Jerashen, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
