My husband and I worked with Carl at Marc's in Medina. Terribly sorry to hear that he's passed. He will be missed!

Jim and I remember we were in Bain Park on a summer night playing baseball when we heard a crash on the westside of Fairview Park.a small engine plane had crashed landed into a tennis court missing Carl and some others playing a game of baseball.When we got there Carl I believed was being interviewed by the news about what happened...Bob Spiers

When Jon Rainey phoned me late afternoon on 4/1/15 with the news of Carl's passing, my reply was "Yeah right, it's April Fool's Day."  I could not believe it.  Though I moved away from Cleveland, Carl and "da boys" 34 years ago, there was never a time we couldn't share a joke or recall an event that would tickle the tar out of us.  We joked last Summer that there would come a day when he and I would join Geof Cave and Bob Dunson in the hereafter to continue with our euchre tournament of the world.  A fantastic card player and a better friend, he is and will always continue to be sorely missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.

Was always a pleasure to be around. Our condolences are with the Webber family. May he rest in eternal peace.

I was saddened to hear about Carl's passing. It's been many years since I saw him; but remember enjoying his company at our family gatherings. Learned more about him reading John Rainey's lovely tribute.

I remember Carl while growing up in Fairview Park and am indeed saddened to learn of his passing. The sentiments expressed so eloquently by others in this guest book are an accurate portrayal of the kind of person he was. My deepest sympathies to his family on their loss.

I worked with webs ten yrs at Kmart.We were good friends.Talked sports all the time.He constantly talked about his daughters,they were the pride of his life.Webs had a great wit about him,and conversations with him were great.My condolences to his family.I am so sorry for your loss.

Carl and I and a handful of other guys fortunate enough to grow up in the idyllic 50's and 60's in Fairview Park were best buddies for life. We made each other laugh, there were no egos, and we always got along. Music was a huge part of Carl's life and I was fortunate enough back in the day to attend concerts with him to see some great bands including the Moody Blues, Peter Frampton, Lynyrd Skynrd, and the Beach Boys (at the old Cleveland Staduim World Series of Rock). Carl had a phenomenal memory and could tell you what artists were in which bands, including those that had been in multiple bands like Eric Clapton. His strong memory also enabled him to be a top notch player at the game of eucre.  I miss Carl greatly, but am enormously grateful that our paths happened to cross back in Fairview Park many years ago. Rest in peace, and Groove Gently my good friend. Love you buddy, Jon Rainey

I had the pleasure of knowing Carl from TJs.  He always had me laughing.  He was so funny and sharp.  He will be dearly missed.
