After his turn in the Navy, Fred married Kathleen Snyder and started his family and his company, Communications Systems Service Company. Five children and many years later, Fred left CSSC to try his hand at starting several other companies. Fred finished out his career as an electrician at Ford motor company. He loved travelling, camping, and hiking. He was Boy Scout leader to all his sons and was an active member of the music ministries at St Angela in Fairview Park, St. James in Lakewood, and St Marks in Cleveland.
