Genevieve "Gene" Alice Haas

Devoted mother of Gretchen Hammer (Marty), Michele Ljubi (Tom), Nick (Kelly), Karen Grelson (Eric). Dear Gaga of Nicole Showah (Ronnie), Rachel & Kyle Hammer, Colleen & Molly Chambers (daughters of Marty), Amanda & Erin Haas, Hayley & Max Grelson & Grace Ljubi. Great Grandmother of Madison Showah. Sister of Gerry (deceased) (Rose), Marilyn (Edward, deceased), Patrica (Andy) (both deceased), Paul (Marlene) (both deceased), David (deceased) (Anita) and Aunt of 40+ nieces and nephews.

Gene was born January, 28 1936, to Hellen Kehoe and Edward Marshall Jr. She grew up in Fairview Park, Ohio. Her years of Catholic schooling at St. Angela Merici, and St. Stephen High School, fueled her strong Catholic faith. She passed down her love of God to her children and grandchildren.

She and Ed spent most of their marriage living in Fairview Park, raising their children, and doting on their grandchildren. Each year she looked forward to spending summer vacation with the entire family, at “The Cottage” in Vermilion. It won’t be the same without her.

Funeral Mass Monday, January 17, 2022 St. Angela Merici Church 20970 Lorain Rd.11:30 am. No calling hours, and private burial services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Carolyn L. Farrell Foundation for Brain Health 26633 Detroit Rd. Westlake, OH 44145.
