Kevin. We have had many life experiences together. You will be missed. God Bless you as you enter His Kingdom.

Kevin was my uncle and also my godfather. He will surely be missed not only by me, but by the many people whose lives he touched. Kevin Is the funniest, smartest, kindest, warmest and most likable person I have known. A few days before Kevin passed, his Hospice administrator shared a story with my mother (Kevin's sister Karen) and I that clearly speaks to this. He told us on the first day that he came to meet Kevin at Manor Care North Olmsted that he was stopped by numerous staff members and nurses from the moment he walked in the door and it continued all down the hallways as he made his way back to Kevin's room. They all told him that he had better take really good care of Kevin or that he would have to answer to them. He told my mother and I that he had never experienced anything like that before and that he was actually kind of scared because he felt like if he didn't do a really good job that these people were going to come after him :-) This also clearly speaks to the great staff at MCNO as my brother pointed out in a prior post.

I would also like to acknowledge Hospice for the great job and care they gave my uncle. One of the Hospice nurses was there to comfort Kevin and held his hand as he took his last breath. But more importantly, I would like to acknowledge my uncle Terry who could not have done any better by his brother. He visited Kevin twice a day,everyday. He went there not only to see to Kevin's needs, but to  provide him with love and friendship. Oh, and lest I forget, to bring Kevin his favorite pie too  :-)

I will miss talking and laughing with my uncle, but more than anything I will miss his advice. If ever I had a problem, I could call Kevin up and he would give me the best advice and I would always come away from our conversation feeling better.

While I am deeply saddened by his death, I take solace in knowing he is in a better place and that I will be talking and laughing with him  again someday.

Thanks for making a difference in my life uncle Kevin.

My condolences to the family.

Many,OH soo many years ago,Kevin and John Burn decided to serenade me under my bedroom window. Kevin lived behind us we lived on West Park. My Dad heard the racket and was ready to call the cops,but I  told the boys to scram in time. What a great memory. Wish I would have been able to keep track of him over the years. Sounds like he turned out to be a fine man. Rest in Peace Kevin and keep singing till we meet again. Condolences to your family and I will keep them as well as you in my prayers. I'm Kevin's nephew who lives out of state. I was very fortunate to happen to be visiting Ohio the weekend before he died, and to be able to come to Cleveland to see him for a few hours. My childhood memories of Kev are of a man with a hearty laugh and a wicked sense of humor. Even when he had recent medical problems, he could always use humor to keep his and others' spirits up. He will be greatly missed. We love you, Uncle Kev!

P.S. It's very nice to see the comments from Jerry and Brenda. I think Manor Care was a great place for him.  Kevin's family are very grateful for the MCNO and hospice staff who took care of him.

Dear Erin,  I knew your Dad years ago. Have not seen or talked to him since late 1999 or early 2000.  As it happens we lost touch. I just wanted to tell you what a good and kind man he was and how sorry I am to see this.  He talked about you all the time. He adored you. My Deepest Sympathy to you and the family. You will be in my prayers. May he R.I.P.

Nice to see a picture of Kevin. (I don't know what happened to my first message). I knew Kevin from OLA and St. Edwards. He was one of my best friends then and I will always remember those good times.
We hooked up again after I got out of the Air Force and moved back to Cleveland. I received a transfer to Toledo and guess who was living there at that time. I was building a house and Kevin let me stay with him for 4 months while I commuted back and forth.(shows what a big heart he had. We lived in Toledo 8 years and again got transferred to Texas. One of my biggest regret is that I did not stay in touch with him. I tried a couple of times but could never make contact.  
Kevin "rest in peace" and we will meet again some day. Love you Jerry

What a nice man Kevin was. I will miss visiting with him each morning at MCNO. He will be missed by many other staff members as well, he had great respect from so many of us. RIP my friend..
