

LARISA M. LUCACI (née Moruzeanu), devoted wife of the late Peter; loving mother of Larisa Lucaci-Vashee (Kirti) and George Lucaci (Barbara); dearest grand-mother of Maya, Lina, Alexander, Emma and John Peter. Larisa's many involvements included: a weekly television show on WJW on ethnic culture; first demonstration classroom in the U.S. as a pioneer in FLES (Foreign Language in the Elementary School); teacher of gifted and talented in the Cleveland Public Schools' Major Work program; and Russian professor, Western Reserve University. She was the first to introduce Romanian folk dance in America, teaching and influencing many international folk dance instructors. Larisa was also a longtime member of St. Mary's Romanian Orthodox Cathedral's "George Enescu" Choir. Larisa's late husband, Peter Lucaci, was well-known in the American and Canadian Romanian communities as Editor-in-Chief of "America" Romanian News. VISITATION THURSDAY 2-4 AND 7-9 P.M.
